INTERVIEW W/ The King Of Old Scool Himself STEVE CORINO?

I was gonna wait to put this under the Whats new section in a couple of weeks, but for crying out loud it's Steve Corino.

Mike: How do you feel about what has happened to Russ Hass?

Steve Corino: A total shame. Russ was a good guy and a great wrestler. I was hoping to see the Haas Brothers vs. the Hardy Boyz for years to come. He was way too young to be taken from us.

Mike: How do you feel about the almost year long anniversary of th eloss of ECW?

SC:I don't even think about it anymore. ECW was beyond great but it is over now and you have to move on.

Mike: Do you miss wreslting in ECW?

SC:Wrestling no...Being with my friends every weekend yes.

Mike: How do you feel about Shinya Hashimoto becoming the NWA Heavyweight
Champion?

SC: Hashimoto is a great wrestler and will make an excellent World champion.

Mike: I believe you wrestled him for about 20 minutes before he made you tap out?

SC: 29:58 to be exact.

Mike: How was your Christmas?

SC: Very good thank you.

Mike: Lets talk about how you got started in wreslting?

SC: Attended a wrestling school in Reading, PA in the fall of 1994.

Mike: Your style is an old school wreslting style and still you amaze the fans by
how good you are, why do you think the fans enjoy your wrestling with all
the high flying and other styles there are today?

SC: Yes, because when there are so many different styles of wrestling the fans are the big winner. Just because I prefer the old school style doesn't mean that I can't adjust to other styles and vise versa.

Mike: How do you feel about Dusty Rhodes, you and him had quite a series of
matches?

SC: Dusty is like a second father to me. What he did for me I could never repay him for. I enjoy wrestling Dusty on his TCW cards too because it gives me a chance to be the rotten bad guy that I enjoy being!

Mike: Who do you feel in or out of ECW was/is your greatest oppoent/rival?

SC: Justin Credible. We had a great chemistry in the ring and I enjoyed wrestling him every time I got in there with him.

Mike: You and Jack Victory have been friends for how long?

SC: Almost 3 years.

Mike: How much did Jack Victory teach you about the wrestling industry compared to
what you knew when you started?

SC: He taught me the little things that are very important in a match and he also taught me how to keep your head up. Jack has been involved with wrestling almost 20 years now and he still has the enthusiasm of a rookie.

Mike: Do you enjoy a managerial role in wrestling or the actual wrestling itself?

SC: I enjoy wrestling more but managing is fun too. I love learning every aspect of wrestling that I can.

Mike: What were some of the key things you did to help you become a babyface?

SC: A great heel in Justin Credible. You always need a great heel to have even a watchable babyface.

Mike: What match was the turning point in you becoming a babyface?

SC: I made the turn on August 4, 2000 but it wasn't until August 26, 2000 in New York City that the fans really took to me.

Mike: Which would you rather be a babyface or a Heel, an why?

SC: I enjoy being a heel because I get to control the match more.

the Spotlight

The spotlight shines on "Superstar"Eric Marx. He has been competing in the Lunatic Wrestling Federation for the past few months. And he fits in great. He has also been working for Maniak Enterprise Wrestling and Independent Urban Wrestling Allaince. He recently wrestled Adam Evans in Wisconsin and did a great job. My sources tell me his back is a little banged up and he is in pain. So lets hope The Superstar gets better.

TRAINER

This weeks trainer is Primetimes Trainer and LWF wrestler Brandon Bishop. Brandon teaches the students at Primetime Wreslting in Peotone.
